High pressure, overpromise & underdeliver. The shop only makes $70 to install and no profit on the tires, so apparently they must promote other services like wheel alignment. The tires were mounted in about an hour, which was appropriate. Then Joe told me how badly I needed alignment (an alignment was done at the dealership in the last year) and I said yes, but I would schedule it on another day because I had an appointment I couldn't be late for. Then the other front desk man chimed in about how important it was to get the tires aligned TODAY. I said I could come back the next day. Three minutes later Joe came out of the garage and said, "Sir, I can put two men on it and have it done for you by 3:05 PM" (13 minutes). No, I said, I don't want to take the chance of being late. Again the pressure from both of them that I needed it done and it couldn't wait 24 hours. I relented and let them start. Price was not an issue. Timeliness was. It took double the amount of time they promised, and only one mechanic worked on the car. I was late to my appointment, and they not only broke their promise but pressured me into something I knew could wait, and then he did not even apologize when I pointed out to Joe that he overpromised and underdelivered. I have loyally purchased tires from another shop for over 20 years, but they recently sold to new ownership and I thought I would try someone closer to home. I will not go back to American Tire Depot again, and I do not recommend them.
